The objective of the Women's History Archives is to file, preserve and collect unpublished documents of Icelandic women and Icelandic women's associations as well as share that knowledge and encourage research on the topic.
The Women's History Archives was founded on the 1st of January 1975. Anna Sigurðardóttir was the first director and ran the Archives from her home until 1996 when is came a special entity within the National Library of Iceland.

Konur og stjórnmál (Women and Politics) is a special website about Icelandic women's struggle for the right to vote. The website was published in 2015, but then it was 100 years since the King of Denmark confirmed a constitutional amendment which included women and workers aged 40 and over being given the right to vote for Parliament (Althingi). The website is only in Icelandic.
Rauðsokkahreyfingin (The Redstocking movement) is a special document and informative website on the Redstocking movement in Iceland. The web was opened on October 24th 2022. The website is in Icelandic, but translation is in progress.
