Foreign students have to apply for a library card. It's easy to do. Just fill out this form on our website.
Law books and journals are situated on the 3rd and 4th floor in the National & University Library. The main holdings are though in the law library which is on the 3rd floor in Lögberg, the faculty of law building.
Being the biggest law library in Iceland it holds around 10.000 books, latest volumes of around 30 printed journals and various reference material.

Borrowing is confined to the students and staff of the Faculty of law but everyone is welcome to visit the library and make use of it´s resources.
The Law library will be closed from December 21st until January 5th

The spring semester´s opening hours will begin on January 13.
Some e-sources are only available to students and staff of UI. To connect to the University Network off campus a VPN connection is necessary. Help is available at the IT Help Desk at Háskólatorg.
