It is not necessary to sign in to search on lbs.leitir.is.
It is necessary to sign in to view loans, renew loans and make requests.
Here you will find instructions on how to sign in with user ID.
First we click Sign in on the frontpage.
Next we click ALMA authentication.
You sign in by entering a user ID and a password and then clicking login.
The user ID is your kennitala and you choose the password. Click login to sign in.
If you do not know or remember your password you select Click here to reset password.
When you select Click here to reset password the screen below will appear.
Next you either register your user ID or a registered email. Your user ID is your kennitala and and your registered email is an email that has been linked with your user ID in the system. Then you click send and you will receive an email with a link to reset the password. Next we finish the sign in by repeating steps 1-3.
When the sign in is finished your name will appear in the upper right corner.
